After the postponement of the Christmas Lights Switch On on November 23rd, BedfordBID is thrilled to be part of the the much-anticipated Bedford Christmas Lights Switch On, which is now taking place on November 30th. With all events successfully moved, this means there’s an even bigger celebration planned. In collaboration with Bedford Borough Council, prepare for a fun-filled, magical day!
Love Bedford Express Land Train rides
Come and enjoy a FREE ride on the Land Train. With Christmas music and bubbles blowing it’s great fun for all the family! Get on at Silver Sqaure Station and receive a sticker and some sweets!
Love Bedford Christmas Window Display Competition
From Saturday 23rd November you can enter Love Bedford’s Christmas Window Display Competition. Choose your favourite, most Christmassy window, and you could win a £50 Love Bedford Voucher to spend in participating shops and a certificate and £50 Love Bedford Vouchers for the winning business.

Small Business Saturday is a campaign designed to boost the local economy. It takes place every year to highlight the importance of small, locally-owned and operated retailers. The BedfordBID
In 2005 BedfordBID was one of the first Business Improvement Districts in the UK and, thus, one of the first to see the benefits of bringing businesses together and pooling money to improve the town centre.
BedfordBID seeks to make Bedford a cleaner, safer place to be for both residents and visitors. To help our town centre thrive, and to provide a high quality visitor experience. To create a vibrant place to live, work, study and to do business.
BedfordBID’s marketing arm, Love Bedford, delivers and supports events to help put Bedford on the map and to showcase the town centre. These include Christmas events, Easter and Halloween Trails, sponsorship of Bedford River Festival, and regular social media. Along with involvement in cultural and heritage initiatives, such as High Street regeneration, BedfordBID also works to support exhibitions, tours and walks.
